How To Put Pictures From Iphone To Chromebook

Sync iPhone and ChromebookChrome OS does not have iTunes available, so you basically can't back up to a Chromebook. Users may still want to backup their iPhones and Chromebooks. Apple and Google both make this hard for dual Chromebook and iPhone users. However, I have a low cost suggestion that might work for you:

Using iCloud to Sync iPhone and Chromebook

20Gb of iCloud storage costs $.99/month in the USA. I would suggest upping your iCloud account to the 20GB plan and doing an iCloud backup through your phone while on a local network. If you set it up today and have a reasonably fast connection, it should have enough time to backup via cloud. You could conceivably cancel your iCloud storage expansion after you've restored to your iPhone 6 too, making this only cost you $.99. Much cheaper than buying a Windows/Apple PC!

You can also transfer images or video from your iOS device to your Chromebook by using the Google Drive or Google+ iOS apps. The apps allow you to store your images or video in your cloud storage, which you can then access from your Chromebook. You can then download the stored images to your Chromebook by right clicking (click the touchpad with two fingers) on an image and selecting "Save as".

Google+ Photos and Chromebooks

Google has added a Google+ photo syncing feature to Chrome which now allows you to sync your iPhone to your Chromebook. Begin by downloading the Google Drive app from the Apple App Store. If you are new to the iPhone, the App Store is the native blue app icon with an "A" in a circle. In the App Store, use the magnifying glass to search for "Google Drive" and the app you want will be the first result.

Just tap the icon of dots on the bottom left hand of your screen and navigate to Google+ Photos. Your Chromebook should recognize your iPhone and allow you to upload all the images on your Photo app to your Google+ account. You can then download the images to your Chromebook after the upload is complete.

Save Photos on Chromebook

  1. Open Chrome from the desktop.
  2. Find an image that you want to save. …
  3. Right click on the image and select "Save image as…" …
  4. Change the image name, if you want to.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. View your image by clicking on it in the downloads bar.

Connect your iPhone to Chromebook via USB

Connect you phone to the chromebook by USB cord. Your phone should ask you if you trust the connection. Reply YES. The phone should now be visible on your chromebook Files App for you to transfer the photographs in the DCIM folder by copy and paste into your Chromebook.
